Very nice and promising, I only think this is a multiseta. Karwinskiana have different flowers

I'm not sure I have the 2004 seed review - I appear to have lost the first two issues of 2004. I was looking to see more details about this plant - because I can't remember ever seeing a pink flowered karwinskiana before. What is the source and what did Bill write about it?

I did check and I can't find it on the mamm society seedlist so it could have come from the BCSS instead. As for M.multiseta.,I have not found any information on this other than what is written in the back of Pilbeam and there seems to be a lot of confusion there. Is M.multiseta pink flowered ? Althought Pilbeam places it under M.karwinskiana ssp karwinskiana there is no mention of pink flowers in the description. One thing I have notice is that the seedlings of M.multiseta are red and remain red for the first few years.

Multiseta is always pink flowered. Why Pilbeam places this under karwinskiana is a mystery. Because he didn't know the plant or because it have bristles like karwinskiana. It often happened when Pilbeam or Hunt didn't know or didn't seen a plant they declare it as dubious or as a synonym.
