Happy new year.
I have this unidentified plants. The one with hook spines resembles M. armillata and the second one M. mystax, but I am not sure.

By the way, looking for the species, I found that these and other species have been moved to the genus Cochemiea according to the World Flora Online. http://www.worldfloraonline.org/taxon/wfo-4000008732
