Just my opinion, m. spinosissima ?

M. spinosissima.
In the 90-ies I bought two plants under this name.
Subsequently, they died but kept the fruits from plants with darker spines.
I sowed and received seedlings.
In the photo, the seedlings with more of the red thorn.
That's the story.

I also doubt that they are spinosissimas, they certainly don't look like the typical spinosissima. The plant in the front also shows some hooked centrals (well visible on the lower right side), and as far as I know spinosissimia should not have hooked centrals. Perha[s the plants are of hybrid origin.
