Coryphantha cornifera? Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico

I saw these Coryphantha just north of Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico. Are these correctly identified as Coryphantha cornifera?

Hi, and welcome!

I think that you are right about the identification of these plants as C. cornifera. According to distribution maps in Dicht and Luthy, you start to find C. cornifera at about Pachuca. I saw them just north in April, though they were a lot dryer than now, obviously, and rather dessicated, I thought.
