Mammillaria huitzilopochtli ssp. niduliformis - these seedlings are at least 7 years old.
If being re-potted regularly the size would be more decent. Grown on a south-facing window shelf.

Congratulations! I can still remember the excitement I felt when my first seed grown plant flowered. I still feel it occasionally, when some hard-to-grow or particularly slow species blooms for the first time.

Beautiful young plants. M. huitzilopochtlii is one species that often surprises me, and this curly spined form is one of the best. Well done!

Actually that batch of seeds (from Mesa) had good survival rate and I have 2 more grown, these on the right.
M. boolii in the left pot is grown from a rooted offset.

Another first bloomer seedlings I had during the last season ware these 2 of Mammillaria zeilmanniana. I know, these are easy propagated by offsets but having some mature plants I decided to use their seeds and grow some seedlings. These are first to bloom, kept mostly on east-facing window shelf.
Barely about 16 mm in diameter.

Another first time bloomer from the last spring season, M. dixanthocentron. The pot is ~ 6.5 cm inside.
Not actually my seedling but I got two of those at very small size some years ago.

The other two M. huitzilopochtli ssp. niduliformis formed buds and flowers this November and December...
There is no real winter in Southern Mexico where these come from.
