Subject: Mammillaria hahniana? Sun Mar 22, 2015 4:53 pm
Can someone help me with the correct name of this Mammillaria? Is it a M. hahniana? Someone told me it can be M. hahniana ´bravoae` oder `woodsii`. What do you think?
Many greetings from vogelmamapetra

Hi vogelmamapetra,
Welcome.
I think it's more than likely just a form of m. hahniana with less hair. Ok if you want to call it m.bravoe but not woodsii which has blacker spines.

I find that it is difficult to identify with certainty some of the subspecies, as they are very variable in character. If I had to name this plant, I probably would think it was M. hahniana ssp. bravoe.
