This plant was grown from seed offered by Kohres in 1992 under his seed number 4449. It got badly marked in winter 2000, so I cut the top off and rooted it, and this has now turned out as a nice plant and flowering now for the first time.

Mammillaria sp. Ciudad Grande PICT6998

It is, to my eye, a M. spinosissima form, maybe just spinosissima, possibly crassior, although a little different from either of my plants of crassior (FO-273 and R761). If anyone has knowledge of this plant, I would be very happy to hear.

It does look like a spinosissima, but not crassior I think.
