Well, here is the author.... But there is not so much to tell about this plant. I found it in 2001,on a hill near El Jabali, which lies about 15 km southwest of Rio Verde. I collected a fruit and grew plants from it.
In my opinion, the plants look a bit prettier than most proliferas, becaue they have a pale yellow spination. They flower well and produce numerous fruits. It could well be that M. prolifera WTH 140 is at the edge of the distribution range of M. prolifera.
