M.nana duwei CHV 361

In flower today, 21-4-2011, M.nana duwei CHV ( Unknown ) 361. San Luis de las Paz, SLP.
Grown from seed from Mesa Gardens 2009 seed list. Sown 1-3-09, germinated 10-3-09.

I think it is quite likely that the collector is Chvastek, who usually list his numbers under CH, but maybe Steven Brack added a letter?
The location, San Luis de las Paz, SLP, is at least in the same state as Huizache, San Luis Potosí, where he found an Ariocarpus according to Ralph Martin's database. I can't locate either of them on Google Earth, so don't really know how close they might be, but as teh Ario was numbered 356, if it is indeed the same collector, it seems possible.

...and still bearing the infamous central spines that misteryously vanish from my plants. Has any of you seen this plant in its habitat? Do they bear centrals then or not?

I think there is a mistake. San Luis de la Paz is in the state of Guanajuato about 25 km south of the border to SLP. M.duwei from this place is well known. We searched at this place for this plant some years ago but without success...

I have found it in the Raph Martain data base and it is Chvastek and should be CH 361.
It states the habitat has being San Lusi Potosi to Guanajuato, Route 57, Guanajuato. 1990m, and was first collected on 3-10-1994.
Why Brack should make this kind of mistake I don't know.

For Jfabiao.....below are my plants of nana duwei Rep 2155. These were grown from the same batch of seed and you can see one with centrals and one with out.



The location for these is Canda de Morelosno, Queretaro, 200m. First collected 1-3-88.
