There was a supermarket here that went out of business about a year or so ago that (like most supermarkets) had a little (and I mean little) Live plant section near the produce department. Well, they had these little pots with cacti in them and plastic cactus people signs... (cactus shapes with faces and cowboy hats) that they called Cactus Cowpokes or something like that.
Well, for about a year or so, I resisted buying any as they were a bit over priced. But as word of the stores closing date neared, I couldn't resist any longer. The last plant was this pitiful M. bombycina. It was becoming etoliate and looked like it had NEVER been watered in that place. There was also very little soil left in the pot from being knocked over so many times.
Well, it looks a lot better and thanked me with some flowers this year Smile
I've been trying to pollinate them... Hopefully I've been successful

Don;t worry, I think we can cope with awrong section!
Looks like a great rescue job anyway. It should soon clump up and when you have a washing up bowl of them, then they are a great sight when all in flower.
