Flowering Habits?

I just picked this little baby up at the local flea market and was instantly in love! Through various online searches, I am hoping I got my info straight and that this is a Mammillaria of some kind. With that, it had a beautiful pink flower on the top, with evidence that a few more would be sprouting soon, but then all of a sudden the flower was just gone. I have no idea where it went, but it was no where around the plant itself. I tried searching different online sites, but couldn't find anything. Please help! Thank you!!!
