this is a misterious plant.....
i thought that could be a coryphantha, but with flowers in the axils ..............

I've not seen one like that before. It reminds me of the sort of aberrant spination that you sometimes see on forms of M. decipiens or camptotricha. It might be a bit easier to tell when the flowers open, but at the moment the body shape looks like polythele, but the spines don't!
