Very nice, Mark. As usual, your plants come into flower a bit before mine. I have just been sorting through, cleaning up, and repotting some of my Ancistracanthae, and all my grahamii, sheldonii, mazatlanensis, and dioca are in bud. The only ones out are armillata and goodridgei, but the rest won't be too long behind.

Wonderful flowers Tam !

we found two different forms of M.dioica at Isla Santa Magdalena (compare with L44).

Some Baja Ancistracanthae. Baja-119

Some Baja Ancistracanthae. Baja-120

At Cabo San Lucas we found M.armillata at a lot of locations. Here is an example (compare with L55).

Hi Robby,

thanks for the photo's to compare with.
I am struck by how similar the habitat plant of M.armillata is to that of L 055. L 055 has been in collections for over 30 years, having been collected in 1973 and you may of expected some genetic drift over that period of time.
In my collection the M.dioica L 044 seems to be a smaller and thinner plant which only has a few flowers a time.

2 more in flower today.
