I believe the plants 2775, 2776 and 2779 belong to haageana group and 2780 is probably M. perballa ( I have got similar to your mammillaria).

Hi Maurillo,
I think that Leznek has it right. The photos show just ow variable M. haageana is. Because of the differences is spines, you might think that they are different enough to be recognised as different species, but in habitat you find all sorts of variations all mixed up and realise that you just can't separate them.
The perbella is a very sweet little plant. I hope it divides soon as multiheaded forms are very nice, in my view.

hi chris...
you want to tell me that if you don't know where exactly the plant is coming from, is better call her only haageana ?
leszek perbella is a good example of her quiete slow growing (12 years old!!) dividing dichotomously.

Yes, Tam, that thought did cross my mind. Maybe we have to wait to see what colour the flowers are!

The spines would seem to support M. chionocephala. Pilbeam says radial spines 22 to 24 to 8mm lomng and bristle like, central spines 2-4, rarely 5 or 6, stronger than the radials, to 6mm long, white tipped brown. But it is young yet, and the central spines seem to be developing, as there aren't any on the older areoles low on the sides of the plant. It should have increasing amounts of wool and bristle sin the axils, so look for this as the plant grows older.
