Though I am a member from this forum for some time, I never introduced myself. So time for an introduction.

I am a 49 years old man from The Netherlands. I grow cacti and succulents for more than 30 years. I have a mixed collection in a greenhouse (3 x 8 m). I am a specialist grower of Stapeliads and have visited these plants in habitat 3 times (SE Spain, Ethiopia, Yemen/Socotra). From the cacti I have a special interest in Mammillaria (of course), Eriosyce (in the broad sense) and Gymnocalycium. I love to grow my plants from seed and this year I have sown more than 200 species.

Hi, Wiebe,

it is good to know something about you. I too grew Stapeliads many years ago and for a for a few years was a member of International Asclepiad Society. They are amazing plants but not easy keep growing well. In the end I deicided to stick with the Mamm's but I did keep a few Hoya.
Did you get the plants I sent over ?

Yours, Mark.

Hello Mark,

I am a member of the IAS for at least 20 years. I agree with you that Stapeliads are not the most easy plants to grow: let's call it a challenge. Mammillaria's and most of the other cacti are much easier and need less care. Your plants did not yet arrive.
