Hello Andrej,

This could be a M. tepexicensis.

Hello,
i don't believe that it is M. tepexicensis. Characteristically for M. tepexicensis are the four hooked central spines and the flower. I think that it is M. rettigiana or M. fuscohamata.
Andrej, is this plant at the moment at flower? If yes, then it is M. rettigiana.
Here a photo of a M. tepexicensi FO-177 in flower.

Certainly not tepexicensis. I was wondering about a form of jaliscana, but retiigiana would fit as well.

I think that is spelled wrongly, and should be Matanzas, Jalisco which is a locailty close to the border with Guanajuato and Aguascaliente.
M. rettigiana is known from between Guanajuato and Dolores Hidalgo, and also from Comanjillo. This last place is closer to the border with Jalisco than Dolores Hidalgo.
So I think this could well be a new locality of what surely is at least a form of M. rettigiana, characterised by its late flowering period.
Where did you get this from? I can't see anything like it in the seed catalogues...

Hello all,

At first I want to ask to Andrej if he could send us a picture from the whole plant, a side view.
I'm not convinced about M. rettigiana so far. I agree that it could be a between form, but not a reala rettigiana.

Hello all,
at the moment, flowers in my collection from the the Bombycinae only M. rettigiana, a M. fuscohamata as well as M. berkeana.
The flower-color of M. rettigiana is different from year to year. Somethimes darker violett and somethimes more creme-white.
Here two photos from a plant from Rogozinski as M. rettigiana Guanajuato

I hope it could help.
May be also a form of M. rettigiana.
