Saw this in a firend's collection in Coventry, 17-5-08, at the weekend. The flower buds are just starting to come through the spines on the main head.

Piltz had M.neopalmeri HO415 from Isla Dan Benito BC on there seedlist this year but when I ordered it it was at of stock. Hugo, if you have a contact to Anton Hofer could you possible see if he has any more seed.

I had have a look at another mamm. website to look at the fieldnumberslist of Anton Hofer and it's not mentioned there. This could mean only two things. First that they could have been forgotten this number on their website or second that it is H.O. ( Heinz Otto) and not Anton Hofer. Maby that Piltz forgot the dots.

I have just checked the Piltz again it is written HO415 so I leave you to draw your own conclusion. But I think you correct has I always thought Anton Hofer was a collect of south American cactus.
