Good evening dear cacti friends,

after many years with mild temperatures, this winter in Cologne will be very cold.
Last night already minus 8 ° C / 17.6 ° F and during the day a maximum of minus 2 ° C / 28.4 ° F.
Permafrost for the next seven days at night and during the day.
At night down to minus 15 ° C / 5 ° F, very extreme for Cologne city.

So I optimized the insulation on the greenhouses a bit.
The additional Styrodur panels remain in place for the next few days.

Oh yes, there is little snow. In other parts of Germany up to 40cm / 15.74 inch in one night.

Today is March 1st, 2021, everything is still possible in Central Europe - frost, ice, snow and storm. . .
So be careful; spraying, watering, plants in the garden - all nonsense! (I'll just say that now... )
And the plants know it too - they are waiting for longer days! And aren't they succulents anyway?
