help with ID please?

hello all! about eighteen months ago I was gifted this cactus by a friend.




it's about 15cm tall and as wide, never produced any offsets, and had apparently never flowered in several years under my friend's care but in early spring of last year it produced several very uniform rings of flowers (perhaps it was saving them up!). it didn't seem to fruit at all though, so I can't tell you what the fruits are like.

any ideas what it might be? cacti aren't exactly my wheelhouse, I'm more of a euphorbia fan.

I agree, Maurillo, this is Mammillaria hahniana.

Its a lovely specimen, Robin. I've found that some plants of this species stay single and become quite robust as yours is, and others pup up when quite small. I have no idea why, and isn't a significant factor in identification.
