Today I bought a plant and I mean it´s a M. johnstonii sancarlensis. The plant is small, about 4,5 cm without spines. Can it flower?

Sorry, if the picture is not correct, I don´t know how this get.

Many thanks and best wishes from

It will in time. I am not familiar with how this form of M. johnstonii looks when so young. I have a couple of larger plants, with short spines, so more like the type. These flower each year, so I have no reason to doubt your will. Mine had to get to about 7cm in diameter ((without spines) before it flowered, and it then produced a nice ring of pale pink/white flowers.

Dear Chris,

I am very happy, you answer. I understand, what you mean. I must wait a few years when the flowers came. I dung not very often, so I must eventually wait longer for flowers. It´s a nice plant and I will wrote this name on the label. When the plant is larger I can ask twice.

I whish you a good time and many flowers.

Greetings from germany
Petra
