Just back from a holiday in Canada.
Is there something wrong with the pictures?

Nothing wrong woth the photos, Frederick. I for one must have missed seeing your post, sorry.

So here's my suggestions:
1. is certainly one of the Stylothelae, the radial spines are very fine, almost whispy, so I would suggest M. bocasana ssp. eschauzieri.
2. I would say is M. mystax
3. is M. karwinskiana or one of its close allies, but I think just karwinskiana, showing nicely both the wool and the hairs in the axils.
4. is a bit more difficult, but I would suggest M. geminispina
