Anybody have an ides of which mam this might be? (or even whether it is a mammillaria at all - it was sold as such). Blooms are at most 1 cm across, produced all summer and white and fragrant in the afternoon.
Thanks !

My suggestion for this plant is Mammillaria decipiens, probably a form of subspecies campotricha.

That might be it - the spines are a bit on the long side for decipien though (5 cm), but they do have the white and brown color scheme of varieties albescens and decipiens.
