| Mammlllaria parrasensis - type locality Parras, Coahuila, Mexico, Repp. 1083. Body: Depressed globose, rarely caespitose, 20-60mm high x 50-100mm wide. Tubercles: Conic to pyramidal, 17-20mm long x 10-12mm wide, greyish green with milky sap. Axils: Naked. Central spines: 1, 5-7mm long, stronger than the radials, straight, smooth, black. Radial spines: 5-7,2-10mm long, acicular, uppers shortest, straight, smooth, pale grey to brownish, tipped nearly black. Flowers: Funnelform, 30mm long and wide, white with a brownish pink mid-stripe. Fruit: 10-25mm long x 6-10mm wide, reddish. Seeds: Blackish brown.
