Mammlllarla noureddineana - type locality San Lazaro, Oaxaca, Mexico, Repp. 1646.
Body: Simple, depressed globose to elongate, 30- 100mm high x 40-80mm wide.
Tubercles: Conic, 5-6mm long x 3-4mm wide, blue green, with watery sap.
Axils: With a little wool in the flowering area.
Central spines: 4-6, 4-5mm long, acicular, straight, smooth, white tipped brown.
Radial spines: "15-20,2-4mm long, thin, bristle like, uppers shortest, straight, smooth, white.
Flowers: 12-14mm long x 8-10mm wide, deep carmine with paler margins.
Fruit: Clavate, 10-20mm long x 3-5mm wide, red.
Seeds: Brown.
