Mammillaria igualensis - type locality Iguala, Guerrero, Mexico, Repp. 932.
Body: Oblong, caespitose from the base, 30-100mm high x 35-60mm wide.
Tubercles: Conic, 6-7mm long x 4-5mm wide, bluish green, with watery sap.
Axils: Naked or with a little wool.
Central spines: 2-4, mostly 2, 5-12mm long, acicular, straight, smooth, white tipped brown.
Radial spines: 20-25, 3-5mm long, bristle like, laterals longest, straight, smooth, white.
Flowers: Bell shaped, 15-17mm long x 8-10mm wide, deep carmine.
Fruit: Clavate, 10-18mm long x 3-5mm wide, pinkish.
Seeds: Brown.
