Mammillaria freudenbergeri - type locality Muralla, Coahuila, Mexico, field number not known.
Reppenhagen published this species in KuaS 254/255 with figs. 1987.
Body: Solitary, globose, 40-200mm high and wide.
Tubercles: Pyramidal, 18-20mm long x 16-18mm wide, grey green, with milky sap.
Axils: With white wool.
Central spines: There is no central spine.
Radial spines: 4-6, 6-15mm long, acicular, uppers shortest, the lower longest and stronger, smooth, greyish to brown, tipped black.
Flowers: 30-40mm long and wide, pale yellow with a brownish mid-stripe.
Fruit: 20-25mm long x 6-10mm wide, red.
Seeds: Brown.
