In flower today, 8-3-2010, M.laui laui Lau 1171. Mina Asbestos, Ciudad Victoria, Tamps.

Very pretty indeed. Where did you find the seed, I've been looking for an authentic laui laui for a while.

Not grown from, but it was given to a chap by Lau when he visited the UK in the 80's. He has keeped the plant going and I was able to get an offset from him about 3 years ago. I have an undocumented laui laui which has started to clump but this is still a single haed. If it does offset in the future then I will put your name on it.

Thanks, but I wouldn;t want you to spoil such a plant as it is great when it offsets. I have an undocumented laui laui whch I obtained in 1990 from Rod Preston-Mafham, which has clumped nicely.
It isn't anywhere near to flowering as yours though.
