Nasty things snails, so far this year my saucer of slug pellets at the door seem to have made them avoid the greenhouse so far. or maybe the vegetable patch is far more tasty!

But in term sof unexpected visitors, sadly I found a small dead bird this morning, a wren, that somehow had got into the greenhouse and presumably tried to fly out through a pane of glass. It managed to knock a couple of tubercles off one of my M. longimamma plants, but seemed to have got stuck between an oldish M. setispina and a 4 headed M. grahamii. It could have been there for a day or so, and I suspect it had got exhausted and just settled down there.

Is it worth trying to root the tubercles?

I gave it a decent burial!
