Hello, could it be melanocentra?
Spines  and flowers are bigger than what I see in the forum

Looks like melanocentra var rubrograndis to me but I stand to be corrected.

Most likely melanocentra, where flowers can be relatively large in some populations. The other option is rubrograndis, but I have never seen rubrograndis with such long spines.

I have just looked at Maurillios galery and , well, it can indeed be it even if the spines of my plant are bigger.
I see some other growers in Brazil with this plant. It may have been spread by some comercial grower.
Is M. sonorensis an option too?

M. sonorensis can certainly not be excluded.
Without knowing its original location in Mexico there will always have to be a question mark on the label.
