PostSubject: I have a few more in need of names...   Thu Jun 16, 2016 11:04 pm

These three Mammillarias came from friends of mine, without IDs. Unfortunately, two are without blooms, so it will probably be a bit harder to identify them. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

2.

3.

OK, I'll have a go.
#1 could be M. haageana
#2 could be M. pettersonii or wagneriana
#3 could be ?? not sure.

Thank you very much, Chris! #2 very much looks like M. wagneriana to me, now that I've seen some pics with new growth - that seems quite characteristic to me. M. haageana is what I thought about #1 too, but that was just a hunch Smile

Hopefully, someone will recognize #3 too, do you think it's a hybrid?

#3 could be a M. sempervivi form, what do you think Chris?

Coming back to this thread, I would also suggest M. columbiana for plant 1, as it is quite yellow spined, a possibility to look into anyway.
For plant 3, I think that the suggestion of something like M. sempervivi is in the right direction, but I would put it closer to M. formosa, maybe the pseudocrucigera subspecies. M. formosa is a very variable species.
