Hello.

I collect cacti since 10 years. My favorite cacti are mexican, and since 3 years (I think) also Mammillaria.
But I prefer only small Mammillaria with big flowers. This is better for the greenhouse, more space Wink

I only have some Mammillaria, not a big collection like other cactifriends here on board.
When I`m not at work or in the greenhouse, I like to travel (also Mexico haha).

Hello and welcome.

Your M. picta is probably M. picta ssp viereckii, and the closest that I know of to Tula is about 37kms north west. I'd be interested in where you found your plant, by pm if you don't want to broadcast its location.

Welcome from San Francisco Mammillaria 87.

I, too, am a lover of Mammillarias and have been growing them since about 1975 and have a good selection of them along with other small cacti from Mexico and some from S. America. I see do many nice plants and collections here on the forum it makes me want to visit all of you. Here for some reason the love of cacti seems to be less than in years past with more interest in other succulents. I will remain a Mammillaria collector for all time.

Steve
