I have get a Mammillaria wrightii v. wilcoxii recently. I heard that it is very difficult to survive. so I can get some experience.

My advice is to use a very gritty compost, so that the water can drain very easily. Some say that it should not be in too big a pot either. It isn't a plant that needs a lot of water, so grow it slowly.
