karwinskiana ML 359

In flower today, 29-6-2011, M.karwinskiana karwinskiana ML 359 ( yoloxis ). 7km South of Guelatao. km 165 MEX - 175, Oax. Plant from Chris Davies.
Transitional form to mystax ?

Neither of the two plants that I kept have developed those long central spines, nor yet flowered, so well done!
I have this plant in my records as Mammillaria mystax ML359 not karwinskiana, and Thomas Linzen in MSJ 2009 - 1, says that it is close to M. mystax and to M. multiseta, but distinct, and in habitat rarely produced a strong central spine.
I note that you sent me ML362, which is from the same location as ML359, have these flowered yet?

I received seeds of m. yoloxis ML359 in 2001 and seeds of m. sp. ex yolox aff. mistax M1362 (ML362 ? ) in 2000, by Mammillaria Society.

This is my plant of M.mystax ML 362 flowering in May this year, seed form Doug Rowland 2006 seed list.
My Lacoste fieldlist quotes for both ML 359 and ML 362 sp.yoloxis n.n. ( mystax senus Martius ).
ML 539 was collected at 1550m and ML362 at 1800m.
In the back of Pilbeam he gives the name for ML 359 has karwinskiana, which is what I have gone with for now, but with the comment....transitional form to mystax ? I might need to change that label.
