Anyone of you had experiences with Superthrive? It's not a fertilizer, but it helps plants grow. It has been around for decades, and nurserys and other professional growers swear by it. It contains more than 50 vitamins, hormones and other bio-usables for plants. You can add it to houseplants, outdoor plants, flowers, garden plants, shrubs, trees and any other kind of plant you can think of. I use it for several years on my cacti and I must admit that it really helps. Especially for rerooting cuttings it is very good. It was only available in USA, but last years more and more for sale on the internet and in bonsai shops.

I'm a bit late in seeing this, but this is an interesting product, Hugo. I just Googled it, and it certainly seems to be well rated.
How strong do you use it, the guide I read talked about 1 drop per 2 litres for cuttings and 1 drop per 4 litres for normal watering? And how often? At that small amount used, even though it isn't cheap, with the amount used pe rlitre, it could be cheaper than the tomato liquid feed that I have used to date.

Hello Chris,
I use it once a year and keep it the rest of year in the fridge. I use 1-2 drops per 5 litres for normal watering. But I use it most in combinition with seramis to reroot some plants or cuttings. Even with a very small bottle you can use it for years.

I've never heard of it, but it sounds interesting. Do you use it in addition to fertilizers?
