PostSubject: Some Mamms from Tucson   Sat Aug 22, 2009 3:06 pm

I was in Tucson in April, too late for the CSSA Convention, unfortunately, but I still went to a few of the local nurseries.

This was in full bloom at Tanque Verde nursery

and this M. guerreronis also

And at Bach's Cactus nursery these great plants:

M. formosa

and M. baumii

next was M. lenta

then a few smaller plants (!)

and finally a modest (!!) M. crucigera

Fantastic....let alone all the other plants at each and every place.

Chirs, I think we was at the same places in Tucson.

At Bach's nursery is a superb collection of very old and huge Mammillaria. It's a pity that all plants without labels. But most of it is easy to identify.

Yes, indeed, Ralf, good memories of that place. I also went to B&B Cactus Nursery - great prices of some large plants. I wished my suitcase were bigger and lead lined so no-one could have seen inside!!
