Curious re the middle plant, labelled C ottonis, but flower seems wrong, as do nubmer and color of spines. To the left is ramillosa, and to the right is asterias (referred to ottonis). Seems to me the middle one is also ramillosa. Curious if you agree? Mike<

I think you're right, Mike. It certainly isn't ottonis, and looks much more like ramillosa. The flower colour is a bit varable, and I believe that they have been selections to produce different colour flowers. The one on the right looks like ottonis to me.
